Hair is something you have to see. I can describe a soft curtain fringe or a stacked bob in a hundred words, but one good image explains it in a second. That’s why pictures matter so much on Hair Style Trend, and it’s also why I care about the people who create them.
I’m Reena, and I run this site on my own. If you’re a photographer, stylist, salon, brand or artist and you’ve spotted your work here without the right credit or permission, this page explains how to reach me and what I’ll do about it. No lawyer needed, no stress. Just a quick email.
Found your work here?
Email hello@hairnstyletrend.com with the page link and tell me whether you’d like credit added, the image changed or the image removed. I reply within 48 hours, and most removals happen the same day.
Where the images on this site come from
Every image is chosen to show you something useful, like how layers fall on fine hair, where a part should sit or what a finished updo looks like from behind. Here’s where they usually come from.
Created for this site
Most visuals, including pins, step graphics, infographics and illustrated hairstyle examples, are made specifically for Hair Style Trend. Some are produced with digital design and AI image tools, then edited by me.
Licensed stock
Some photos come from paid or free libraries such as Canva, Adobe Stock, Unsplash or Pexels, used under each platform’s licence terms.
Brands and creators
Now and then a product shot, salon photo or creator image may appear for review or commentary, with credit and a link wherever possible.
I make a real effort to use every image properly. Still, hair photos travel. One shot can be pinned, reposted and re-uploaded hundreds of times until the original stylist’s name falls off completely. If one of those slipped through here, it was never on purpose, and I want to put it right.
How credit is handled
When an image needs attribution, I add the creator’s name, salon, brand or source, usually in the caption or a credit line near the image. Where I can, I link back to your website, portfolio or social profile. Stylists rarely get credit for their work online, and I know how much that stings.
If a credit is missing, misspelled or pointing to the wrong place, tell me what it should say and I’ll fix it.
Your three choices
| Option | What I’ll do |
|---|---|
| Add or fix credit | Keep the image and credit you exactly the way you ask, with your link. |
| Change how it’s shown | Resize it, update the caption, keep your watermark visible or swap the link. |
| Remove it | Take the image off every page where it appears and replace it. |
Whichever you choose is completely fine. I won’t argue or ask you to justify it.
What to include in your email
A simple message is enough to get started, but these details help me move faster.
- The link to the Hair Style Trend page with the image.
- A link to the original, such as your Instagram post, portfolio or salon website.
- Something showing it’s yours, like the original file, a watermark or your published account.
- Your name, or the name of the business you represent.
- Your choice of credit, change or removal, plus any exact credit wording you want.
Formal DMCA takedown notices
If you’d rather send an official notice under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, that’s absolutely your right. To be valid, it should include the following.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- A description of the copyrighted work you believe was used.
- The exact URL on this site where the material appears.
- Your name, address, phone number and email.
- A statement that you believe in good faith the use isn’t authorised by you, your agent or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you’re the owner or authorised to act for the owner.
Send it to hello@hairnstyletrend.com with “DMCA Notice” in the subject line so it reaches the top of my inbox.
What happens after you write
1. I read it
You’ll hear back within 48 hours.
2. I check
I find the image and every page it’s used on.
3. I act
Credit, change or removal, exactly as you asked.
4. I confirm
I email you once it’s done.
Simple removals are usually finished the same day. If the image sits on several pages or ownership needs a closer look, it may take a little longer, and I’ll keep you updated.
One thing worth knowing. Removing an image from this site doesn’t remove pins that people have already saved on Pinterest. Once the image is gone from my page, those old pins stop linking to it, and you can report any remaining pins directly through Pinterest’s own copyright form.
If you think a removal was a mistake
If something you shared with me was removed after a complaint and you believe you have the right to use it, you can send a counter-notice. It should include your signature, the material that was removed and where it appeared, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe it was removed by mistake, and your contact details. I’ll review it fairly and follow the process the law sets out.
When someone copies Hair Style Trend
This works both ways. The articles, tutorials, graphics and the Face Shape Haircut Finder and Hair Porosity Finder took a lot of hours to build. Please don’t copy, republish or re-upload them without permission.
Sharing is lovely, though. You’re always welcome to pin my images straight from the site, link to any article or quote a short line with credit and a link back. If you’d like to use something more substantial, just ask. I say yes more often than you’d think.
A note on good faith
Please only send a takedown request for work you own or are authorised to represent. False claims can carry legal consequences, and they also pull my time away from creators who genuinely need help.
Get in touch
For anything about images, credit or copyright, email hello@hairnstyletrend.com. Every message is read by me, not a bot, and I’d always rather sort this out together than leave a creator feeling ignored.
Thank you for the work you put into making hair look beautiful.
