Some of my favourite articles on this site started as a single email. A reader whose part kept widening. Someone whose silver hair suddenly turned wiry and wouldn’t hold a curl. A woman who just wanted to know if she was “allowed” a fringe after sixty. Spoiler, she was.
So yes, I really do want to hear from you. I’m Reena, and every message sent to Hair Style Trend lands in my own inbox. No call centre, no chatbot, no team pretending to be me.

Asking a hair question? Here’s how to get the best answer
When a client sits in my chair, I can see and touch their hair. Over email I can’t, so a few details make a huge difference to how useful my reply can be.
- Your hair type. Fine, thin, thick, straight, wavy, curly or coily, and roughly how long it is.
- What’s changed. Is this a new problem, or has it always been this way?
- What you’ve tried. Products, cuts or tricks that didn’t work help me rule things out.
- Your porosity result. If you’ve taken the Hair Porosity Finder, mention what it said.
- Your face shape. For cut questions, the Face Shape Haircut Finder takes two minutes.
You’re welcome to attach a photo of your hair if it helps explain the problem. Please don’t send anything you’d feel uncomfortable sharing, and I’ll never publish a reader’s photo without asking first.
What I can and can’t help with
| Happy to help | Better for someone else |
|---|---|
| Which cut might suit your hair and face | Sudden hair loss or bald patches, which need a dermatologist |
| What to ask your stylist for | A burning, bleeding or very flaky scalp, which needs a doctor |
| Styling tricks for volume and flat roots | Colour or chemical corrections, which need a salon in person |
| Routines for fine, grey or changing hair | Problems with an order from a shop, which go to that seller |
My replies are friendly, general guidance, not a professional consultation or medical advice. If something sounds like it needs a specialist, I’ll tell you honestly rather than guess.
A note for brands and PR
I’m open to hearing about products, tools and salons that genuinely help fine, thinning or mature hair. Please include what the product does, who it’s made for and any ingredient details. Sending a product doesn’t guarantee coverage or a positive review, and any sponsored content is always clearly labelled. You can read more in my Editorial Guidelines.
I don’t accept paid guest posts, link insertions or SEO offers, so those emails won’t get a reply.
